Ashley’s series Alchemy Hues explores tonal color saturations on medium format film. It was born from a desire to be surrounded by colors that inspire her throughout her home and studio.
Through her creative intuition, each piece is created using experimental light, color saturations, and the alchemy of film. Every outcome varies, creating tonal color expressions woven with the texture of light movement and film grain.

Indigo was created to evoke a calm and mediative state. In Japanese culture the color blue represents the mystical. The color of water, sky, and dreams. This color saturation is the first & last color I surround myself in to provide a sense of peace.
